Last Thursday night, ABC Grey's Anatomy premiered kicking off season six with a double episode, which had so many surprises in store for viewers and Grey's Anatomy fans. One of the biggest surprises was that Meredith Grey really did not have much of a role in either of the two episodes especially when you compare how predominately both episodes featured Lexi Grey. Lexi Grey the young intern that used to be timid hiding from Christina Yang is stepping into bigger shoes as she becomes a first year resident at Seattle Grey's Hospital.
This does leave fans to wonder what is going on with the Meredith and Lexi Grey's roles. It is seems a little odd that one of the main stars that the show has centered around for years would take a back seat role in the two hour season premiere. Especially, the announcement of the merger at the end of the two hour episode that there will be job cuts from the merger, and the chief's advice for everyone to be one their best. Was it just a coincidence that Meredith had a smaller role than Lexi, or perhaps will Lexi stay and Meredith go? Fans what are your thoughts? Please post comments as to your thoughts as to why Lexi was more predominately featured than Meredith.
Lexi Grey did definitely take a lead and step into a featured role in this two hour premiere. Lexi sheds her timidness for boldness this year! Whether it is standing up to Yang or dealing with Callie, who steps over the line of a friend of Mark's especially with the shower scene. Lexi proves she is not afraid of boldly standing up for herself. Way to go, Lexi!
