New Grey's Anatomy: Callie Wants A Baby

The past few weeks, Callie has been asking her partner Dr. Arizona Robinson for a baby. The tension has been mounting over the past few weeks on this show around this episode. So, the ending on the show came as now surprise.

Like all women, Callie knows exactly what she wants a baby. There comes a time in a woman's life when the desire for a child is powerfully, strong that all we can think about is having a baby. There is no words or material things in the world that can sway this precious maternal desire to give birth to a child. It is understandable that Callie cannot settle for just love with a great partner when she wants a partner, baby, and a family. I applaud Callie for her honesty because she made the best choice for her.

The next question is will Callie call her patient for a date? Well they were definitely flirting in the ER. Do you think Callie should call the patient for a date? Please post a comment with your thoughts.

There is one other scenario that I could see just maybe happening. There are two people on the show that have just gone baby crazy - Callie and Mark. Do you think, Callie will turn back to Mark her good friend now that the relationship with Arizona Robinson has ended? Blog readers I want to hear from you please post your thoughts of what you think might happen in the weeks to come on the show.

New Grey's Anatomy Returns with Special Cross Over Event

ABC Grey's Anatomy returned after a long holiday airing absence with a dynamic two hour crossover event. That began with Adison Montgomery flying to Seatle to consult on a rare pregnancy complication with Sloan Riley - Mark Sloan's daughter. The second half of the cross-over event had the Sloan's (Mark and Riley) traveling to Los Angeles to reseek Dr. Montgomer's medical expertise.

This exceptional two hour drama of an event between the two shows featured upon the topic of the choices that we make and the consequences of those decisions. It started out with Mark choosing to help his daughter, a young pregnant teenager, to raise a baby. The amzing thing was that for once fans saw Mark making a very moral and grown up choice. As Addison later told him that he suddenly became a father almost overnight. Lexi was less than thrilled by this decision because being a mother to a teenager and raising a baby were both deal breakers for her in the relationship. The choice that Mark made was to choose his daughter over Lexi. Something many fans may have never expected.

The reflection to Mark's choice came in the second half of the crossover event durring the Private Practice episode. Viewers of Private Practice and long-time fans of Grey's Anatomy came to realize that Mark Sloan's choice to raise a baby was an attempt to recapture what he had once lost with Addison Montgomery many years ago. Mark definitely made a play for both Addison and raising a child. It seems like Mark Sloan has this perfect ideal of raising a child, but what will happen in the coming weeks - especially with Riley not sure she wants to be a mother. Addison is tread some pretty tough water between her obligations as a doctor and her role as a friend. Stay tuned to hear how things play out in the weeks to come!

Grey's Anatomy Holiday Episode

Rather than airing separate holiday specials this year Grey's Anatomy had one episode that included all three of the holidays Thansgiving, Christmas, and New Years. This poignant episode covered the holidays from all perspectives on the holidays. Regardless of one's feelings about the holidays you could appreciate the light that the show cast on the holiday season.

The perspective on Thanksgiving that Meredith and her friends gave is one that many of us can understand especially with the current economy. This year has been tough for so many that it is easier to think of the things that we are not thankful for rather than those silver lining that we ought to be thankful for because even in the worst storms of life there is that rainbow that appears after the storm passes. Many times it takes awhile for the storm to stop raging, the skies to clear, and the rainbow to appear; although, it always does the question though is whether or not our eyes our open to seeing this welcoming site that it trying to tell us that all will be okay.

As I watched the episode, the part where Meredith and her friends named off what they are not thankful for such as the merger. My list of things that I am unthankful popped into my head as well. It took me a moment to stop and ask myself to think of the silver lining of all those dark clouds. I encourage other fans that had the same thoughts to think of how they can turn around their thoughts and reflect upon what they are trully thankful in spite of all the challenges the year has brought to them and their families.

What a surprise Mark Sloan got when his daughter showed up for Thanksgiving. Talk about unexpected twists. Yet, the one that I feel the most for is Lexi because the news is most surprising for her. A daughter only a few years younger than his girlfriend. That is a concept that can be hard for any girlfriend to handle; although, Lexi was fairly understanding in this episode I wondering what will happen if his daughter stays long-term or permanently. Definitely with Mark's daughter saying she is pregnant at the end of the show with nowhere to go and no one to turn to for help it definitely sounds like she may be a character in future episodes. It will be interesting to watch and see the dynamics if indeed Mark Sloan's daughter does remain a charcter in future episodes.

Dr. Bailey a newly single mother after divorcing her husband had her own unique challenges to face this holiday season. After a family member , let's the cat out of the bag about her divorce Dr. Bailey's father comes for an unexpected visit. This forces Dr. Bailey to make holiday plans to try to prove to her father that she has some type of life. The challenge is getting her father to understand her choices. The interesting twist is that Dr. Bailey fears being judged when many times in the past we have seen Dr. Bailey pass judgement on other colleagues. The visit of her father definitely helps fans to better understand Dr. Bailey's character.

Grey's Anatomy Disaster: Chief Weber at the Center

As many fans, you might be starting to wonder when are they going to fix the problems on Grey's Anatomy and get the hospital back running successfully. Looking back a few seasons, we have seen Dr. Burke the head of Cardio and Dr. Addison Montgomery both leave. These doctors departures have left holes that have never been filled. As you may have noticed, the hospital still does not have a Cardio or NeoNatal doctor. Furthermore, the episodes seems to center more upon hospital mistakes that end up with patients dead as we saw this week or last week were a mistake jeopardizes a patients chance of receiving a life saving kidney transplant. As we watch the train wreck, the one thing that is crystal clear is that the Chief of Surgery is at the heart of all the problems.

People need balance in their lives between work and their personal life. Yet, Chief Weber has made the ultimate sacrifaces putting his career above his personal life. The result is that the hospital has become his life, and he feels that the hospital's success or failure is so much a reflection of his work that he is no longer objective. The problem with the lose of this objectivity is that it has made the chief blind to how to fix the problem. Each episode, we see the chief clinging to hold onto his job as chief, yet the result is that as he clings to that position the ship at Seatle Grey's Hospital continues to sink. Fans here is the question what do you think is it time for the chief to retire? If you think Chief Weber's time is over, who should become the next Chief of Surgery? Please posts comments with your thoughts.

Discussion of the Father & Daughter Role - What Would You Do as Lexi or Meredith?

Tonight, ABC's Grey's Anatomy touched on a very powerful and emotional issue of the role that we feel towards our parents as children. We saw Meredith's and Lexi's father, who has made a lot of mistakes in his life that is on his death bed. Lexi the daughtet that grew up with a close relatonship to her father would do anything to save him. Meredith, who never knew her father feels astranged from the situation.

Now, I'm going to challenge you to place yourself in the role of this television series drama for just a few moments. Which character role do you gravitate towards and understand. Are you one that has that special relationship and bond with your father now or growing up that you would do anything to save him? Rather, are you more like Meredith the little girl that grew up wishing that she could know her father, but always feeling that you had no father? Personally, myself I grew up in the role of Meredith. Somehow, I just never quite registered on my father's radar screen. Yet, my older sister had the role of Lexi who had that close relationship with my father. Now, I'm going to ask if you where in that situation as Lexi or Meredith you choose your character what would you do if it was your father?
